Just booked my room for MC 2017. Looking at Air BnBs in Toronto now, gonna swing through there on my way to Rochester.
I think verifying with the CEO is important to IT because if the auditor does do something shady, like pwn your whole network, then IT gets to do the cleanup (and take the blame sometimes, because what CEO will admit they did something wrong?). I don't see any issue with making sure the C-levels are aware and on board before you just hand over info to some outsider.
The most amusing ones I've seen lately are about a new kind of Viagra, presumably chewable, called "Viagra Soft". I'm thinking the might want to consider renaming it.
My birthday celebration has begun. Still have to work the rest of the day, but tonight will be a great Mexican seafood dinner, off tomorrow to pack and prepare for the journey North.

I just wish my church would take note of this. They are wanting to increase their budget in order to pay for their current setup for the next year. I asked if they have looked at newer technologies and they were like "What new technologies?" and "But nobody has volunteered to help with something like this." Really all, you can do is buy the strongest wall plate design you can find.
This, plus you should implement painfully basic, condescending training sessions. Repeat ad nauseum, then repeat every time someone breaks a jack. People will get sick of the training and maybe they will stop and think before trying to force the HDMI plug in upside down (or trying to force a USB into it).

@siringo Black Mirror is one of the scariest things I've ever watched, simply because it is entirely plausible that the technologies presented will exist in the foreseeable future. It is a beautiful yet horrifying vision of what human nature will do with great technological advancements.
