Tape advice: use 3M 996, 2 inch width at 30 IPS. No Dolby noise reduction. Align to 250 nWb/m^2, then drive the shit out of the levels for rock music.
....oh, you meant backup tape. advice = don't do it.

@DustinB3403 it's not like anyone sees my FB posts (all 1 or 2 per year), but I also posted some article links on C@C's page. Y'all know I'm all about the name and shame.
Just had to unplug all 6 security cameras from the PoE switch to get them to reset. Half of them had picked up IPs from the wrong DHCP server (we had that one on less than 24 hrs to test something). I'm glad that Ubiquiti has a neat little utility to scan your network for cameras and NVRs and shows MAC and IP addresses.
This pic helps sum it up... Just substitute forum names for the years.

This is just way too similar. All the same letters, only one letter out of place, same font...
That's not a dobro....

Charging the new Apple Watch! I've been waiting almost a year to get my hands on one!!
Maybe it won't shock the bejeezus out of you...

Of course not. There is that fable about a scorpion and a goat that need to cross a river...
I am saying that out of tens of millions of man beach hours per year, only half a dozen people are attacked. You are more likely to be killed by police, or a lightning bolt in a given year.
Mosquitoes are waaaaay more dangerous than sharks.
Just finished a successful test of our fancy new video conferencing equipment. Used webex to connect to our new office in Hyderabad, India with basically no latency. Color me impressed.
Oooh, I just realized that since we have a new, hosted, non-Cisco phone system here, I can uninstall Cisco configuration assistant!!! Party time!!!!

So @Nic do you get an employee discount on the weed?
Well the company I'm working for doesn't grow weed itself, they just fund this community. But I'm sure I'll get some samples from some of the community members
I'm sure you will find some Mango's for your new QA department

Good morning, Austin TX! (I got wrecked last night).
Just found out we will have 5 gallons of homemade hard cider for the camping trip... Hell yeah, danger juice!
A couple of shots of the amazing homemade cold smoker... It's a converted water boiler that used to service the farmhouse. A little welding of found materials, an air pump, and it works perfectly.
Because why not subject your innocent cat to your own shitty dietary choices!

As much as I am a nice person I don't agree with the 'every kid gets a trophy' mentality.
I don't think nice is a factor. No matter how nice you are doesn't mean that you want to reward failure. Rewarding failure is just another term for trivializing success.
Agreed.
I mean I'm nice in the sense that I'm friendly towards people and if given the choice to be positive or negative I try my absolute best to be a positive influence on other people. If we're talking about my child though, I have a duty to them to raise them in what I consider to be the 'right way'.
Unfortunately, you now find yourself in opposition to most of American society if you want to raise your kids the "right" way (as mentioned above, no participation trophies, learning to deal with both success and failure, etc). Now you get to be the "bad guy" for wanting to raise sensible, well adjusted kids who can deal with reality and haven't been coddled. Which is f@cked if you ask me.
Officially confirmed - we will be playing a St. Paddy's day gig... Which means we will be rehearsing like crazy folks for the next 2 weeks (we haven't played out since last summer, been writing new stuff). I hope the rest of the lineup is good.
