As always I highly recommend that DNS not be tied to a Registrar. The system is designed to protect you and putting the two together eliminates a critical separation of duties.

Given that better DNS providers are free, why use the registrar?

      My recommendation is CloudFlare.

Reviewing the recent posts and CloudFlare as well.

Other than that they kept promoting "unlimited" but kept having limits and never ended up rolling out the "unlimited" as it was. Some of us were still on the waiting list to get it by the time that it went away. Some people got it, but I have no idea what percentage. It was all new users signing up to take advantage of the unlimited marketing, not the people who had tried it originally. Maybe I'm one of the few, but maybe that was the norm, too.

Mine always showed 10.1TB when they went to "unlimited"...Showed 10.3 TB total and 10.1 TB available...so I was barely using it but it was nice to have and was planning on using it for as long as I kept Office 365.

Mine never got close to that even. But 10TB would have been a nice start.

As mentioned earlier, I am finally taking your advice and will stop being ALL IN with Microsoft. πŸ™‚ This OneDrive announcement was the final straw (and this goes back to Windows MOBILE and Zune for me...) I still love the media options on XBOX One and love my Band 2 but open to others now. I'd look at a FireTV but since I have the XBOX and it has Amazon Instant Video, just don't want "yet another device"...wish XBOX would get an Amazon Music app...would be nice...

You don't need an SRV type for now. You only need to add the Autodiscover record for now.

Got it...dang...ClloudFlare is pretty easy...it discovered everything from my current DNS provider...

@scottalanmiller I'd love to lobby EA Sports to get Madden back on the PC. Better yet, let 2K Sports back in on the NFL license and produce a much better game. Sorry but I still think ESPN NFL 2K5 was the best NFL game ever...

This is what my OneDrive has always shown since I was granted "unlimited storage":

      Your plan
      Free 15 GB

      Your additional storage
Referral bonus (0% achieved) 0 GB

      Loyalty bonus 10 GB

      Office 365 subscription 10,240 GB

Groove Music Pass subscription 100 GB

      Camera roll bonus 15 GB

      Paid plan bonus 15 GB

I am just curious as to how and why they would just talk all of this away from me.

      Surface bonus 200 GB

Having run a BBS 1989-1994 it was interesting to see how not only E-Mails but Forum evolved. First versions of WWIV BBS software were isolated, later they started being connected and store in forwarding messages across the country, and in some cases into the Internet at the time...

You said BBS...music to my ears and it takes me back...:)

Look how complicated that is! Three different types of bonus, 2 different subscriptions. They're just a bunch of amateurs run by marketing men. Amazon and Google are miles ahead.

It just boggles the mind doesn't it? It hard to believe they will take it all away to just 1TB since I have Office 365. And if I didn't have it, I'd be down to 5GB I guess, since I will lose all these bonus tiers.

It is funny that I had nothing but a good experience with ME. It worked great for me and I really hated giving it up. No, that is not sarcasam....it was stable for me.

Vista did have issues for me...namely, if I multi-selected files and then went to right click for a context menu, it could "sit there" for 2-3 minutes before giving me the menu. And it was bloated.

I have my recalled Note 7. Verizon received them yesterday and shipped me one overnight. All things considered, despite the fact the flawed Note 7's should have never been released, I think Samsung has handled this fairly well.

I even have a "green" battery indicator so make it easy to identify the fixed model over the bad ones. πŸ™‚

    • Winbook Tw801 - Maybe The Best "Cheap" Windows Tablet?

Picked up a Winbook Tw801...MicroCenter's brand...they actually have it IN STORE Only for $139:

      http://www.microcenter.com/product/437499/TW801_Tablet_-_Black

Or Amazon has it for about $35 more:

      http://www.amazon.com/WinBook-Winbook-Tw801/dp/B00NC0EAAG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1412024543&sr=8-1&keywords=winbook

      First Impressions:

Very nice screen. Viewing angles are quite good.
Some glare issues with screen but not show stopper. Screen is a fingerprint magnet.
Speakers are good, if not a little hollow sounding. Noticeable vibration even when below 50% volume.
20 GB free which was surprising but perhaps normal for Windows 8.1 with Bing. No recovery partition I believe. About 16.5 left with most updates applied.
Feels good in the hand, not quite as good as the Venue 8 Pro but better than expected.
All ports are on top…Micro USB, Full USB 3.0, headphones, MicroSD and Mini HDMI.

I like Nadella alot. He was definitely handed a mess. I think Microsoft would be much better off to drop the mobile platform. It is becoming obvious that Windows will never be a contender for mobile devices.

Nadella knows what he is doing. Improving products, making people actually like the company.

He makes me what an Surface Studio for no other reason than it looks cool! πŸ™‚

Which by the way, I have a Surface Book and am thrilled with it...even for occasional gaming... πŸ™‚

That is super cheap! That is a full Windows OS?

It's called Windows 8.1 with Bing, It is FULL Windows (not RT) with 2GB of RAM, 32Bit.

I can say for the price, it is hard to beat...the free space after updates was a little surprising since most 32GB tablets end up with around 10GB or less after updates. It is only 5 touch point touch, if that matters to anyone.

Much better than the $119 Toshiba Encore Mini, which I heard had the same screen as the Acer Iconia W3.

What I like is all the ports on top and for sure, the Full USB 3.0...
