    • RE: Software that can transcribe meetings or multiple people

I do not think that all software needs that, however the software that I have used that does not calibrate to one person's voice always has difficulty properly transcribing things. I have yet to run into a fully reliable transcription program.

@Dashrender I see. And yes, to both you and @david.wiese those were your devices. Could you try removing the updates and trying again, both out of date and after updating the browser again?

@david.wiese Even if you jump into the topics on ML, or the groups, you get stuck? Maybe you could try uninstalling the updates for Chrome, trying it then, then update again and try it updated?

Sorry, I'm still trying to narrow down where this issue might even begin.

The Razr was attempted under 4G as well, so firewall is unlikely for that.

I'm starting to believe that there may be something going haywire in the internal workings of the browser. It seems either chrome ties into the browser or vice versa. Does anyone experience this issue that we can use as a lab rat?

    • Troubleshooting ML on Android Mobile Devices

      Removes VoIP hat
      Puts on Android hat

Apparently there has been some miscellaneous issues running MangoLassi on Android. I have been attempting to reproduce this but so far have had no luck. This seems to span not just multiple devices, but multiple apps and multiple OS versions. I have tested what has been reported to me, but have not been able to reproduce this on my devices.

These are the devices that have been tried, the version numbers- (Device - Carrier - Connection type - Android version - Chrome version - Stock browser version - Has Issue??)

      No devices are rooted
      Nexus 10 - None - Wifi - 4.4.2 - 34.0.1847.114 - N/A - No
      Droid 4 - Verizon - Wifi - 4.1.2 - 18.0.1025469 - 4.1.2-49 - No
      Galaxy S4 - AT&T - ? - 4.4.2 - 34.0.1847.114 - 1.5.28 - Yes*
      Galaxy S4 - T-Mobile - Wifi - 4.3 - 34.0.1847.114 - ? - No
      Note 3 - T-Mobile - Wifi - - 4.4.2 - 34.0.1847.114 - 1.5.28 - No
      Razr Maxx - Verizon - Wifi/4G - 4.1.2 -34.0.1847.114 - ? - Yes

*- This has been resolved with a factory reset.

I can see no correlation between what has had problems and what does not. Most of the devices with no problems correlate in some form to the ones that have. Anyone have any additional ideas? All devices, where applicable, have tried with both Chrome and stock browser. Question marks indicate a lack of information.

    • RE: ML not working on Mobile Chrome

      This is what I have:
Phone- Droid 4 running Android 4.1.2, browser version 4.1.2-49, Chrome version 18.0.1025469
Tablet- Nexus 10 running 4.4.2, Chrome version 34.0.1847.114.

Both of these devices work just fine for me. So, from the sounds, I have my tablet matching versions for @Dashrender and phone matching for @david.wiese but something is not jiving for you two. Depending on how deep we wanna get into this, what's the chances I can get some screenshots? I'm feeling in a troubleshoot-y mood today lol

@Dashrender Oh, Then I guess it was me who misunderstood that one. What type of phone are you using? This now has my curiosity. Also, are you on 4.1.2 as well?

    • RE: ML not working on Mobile Chrome

@david.wiese Yeah, I figure a factory reset would be a bit overkill anyway. A hard reset, like @Dashrender mentioned attempting, I think is defaulted to holding the power and down volume buttons simultaneously on Android for 5 seconds, Just does a power cycle. Are there any updates available for your chrome version on your Razr? My chrome looked and ran different when I pulled it up a few minutes ago.

I am currently posting from an android phone. doesn't seem to be all too bad. Navgating for me seems to be prett straightforward. I am in the mobile version of the site. Takes some getting used to, but overall not too bad.

@scottalanmiller @FiyaFly was that done manually? I was under the impression that the built in update did not take it to Asterisk 11. I can drop to console and do yum updates, but that defeats the purpose of using the Elastix package.

I remember seeing some discussion in the Spiceworks community about someone wanting to manually update the FreePBX version to a latter version to use the endpoint manager functionality. I've not done as I didn't want to break Elastix by doing that. If you want FreePBX 2.11 features like the parking pro and endpoint manager, I'd just roll with it as a distro to start.

Every time I throw Elastix on a box the first thing I do is run yum updates. I think, out of the box, Elastix runs Asterisk a few versions back, but a yum update brings it to 11.7

@scottalanmiller is 2.4 updatable to Asterisk 11 and FreePBX 2.11? That is basically what I want out of 2.5 I'll install 2.4 if I can do that. Otherwise I will use PBX in a Flash at this client.

From what I can tell, Elastix 2.4 runs FreePBX 2.8.1r17 at the latest updates.

Hold on a minute. So if you were to get a plastic 3d printer and a metal 3d printer, in theory you could print most of the mechanical replacement parts you'd ever need for the two machines.
