My brain hurts...
Whoa!
I had to share that with scott this morning.
The day may have started off well, but it certainly ended poorly lol....
"We turn the server off and no one can get online.... help please.."
Now there is some reason they are turning the server off at night, but to not make the correlation - to me is just insane.
@FATeknollogee S2D just doesn't make any sense to me. I hadn't heard that, but it just doesn't compute.
S2D.... Soft 2 Die?

All of the above examples seem like reasons to get fired at most places I've heard of.
...
In what way?
It was mostly sarcasm, but the thinking part has me concerned. I know adults who don't have shoe laces because they don't know how / can't learn to tie them.
I didn't read the label.. the spicy chili in the beer are actually pretty damn good.
But wow.. lol
Xen Orchestra is our current VM backup appliance of choice around here.
If you want to backup the Boot device, you'd just clone the bootable USB/SD card.

@dafyre You are making a run for #6, in fact!
Can I make 2000 spam posts real quick?
CAN you? Maybe.
Oh great @dafyre ... now you've got @scottalanmiller curious if he can do it... this is going to be the Ghost Pepper that was entirely from spice-ups all over again...
Oh I know that I can do it. I've already got scripts for doing cool reads here.
Why am I not surprised that @scottalanmiller has a script that reads every post around here? Next thing we know he'll be putting the coffee maker on the network and having it brew a cup of coffee for him in the exact amount of time it takes to walk to the thing.
I would actually buy that script....
Non proprietary databases or other systems that make it difficult to move away from this product, would be another.

Running on three hours sleep, started work at 4AM, been awake since 3:30AM, and working til 8PM, to get to rinse and repeat it all one more time this week tomorrow...
You get time to do important things like sleep on the weekends, huh?
Sometimes. My nights to sleep are Friday night, Sat night and Sunday night. Monday thru Thursday night I get usually 2-3 hours. Then I try to make up for it the other three nights...after I finish partying
You're still a kid aren't you.. partying during the week....

My wife and her sister did a long day of Pokemon Go. Which does not include walking, like I keep hearing about but not seeing. What they do is go to a local driving park that is loaded with Pokemon and drive slowly around it for hours, so they get out and walk even less than if they were watching TV at home. The park is full of people driving slowly around with the AC blasting in their cars going from PokeStop to PokeStop hatching eggs from the slow movement of the cars.
I could get into Pokemon Go, if I wanted to be outside, but humans have spent so many hundreds of years perfecting the insides of homes, why would I want to go out?
...
So I just wanted to come back and see the performance markers of a few of my systems after having a few days of logging with Zabbix.
This is pretty cool.
822.29 IOPS for a max. Obviously this is a high amount when the average is only 4.15 IOPS.
So now it's time to investigate.
7 Years of up time on a Microsoft SQL server, impressive yes, but imagine the "Windows is updating prompt"
It'll be there for another 7 years before it comes up...

Drinking a local IPA and snacking on some braised pork belly w/ black beans and a fried egg on top.
IPA name?
The place where I was is a brewpub, so it's their own.
What is the name of em, do they bottle?
5 Seasons. They can't bottle because they are a restaurant also (stupid GA laws).
Can't bottle, but are allowed to serve it.... sounds like NY laws....
Follow-up and the OP is proud he's been able to avoid "Patch Tuesday"..
This should be good. . .
