      It's a part of the Office 365 suite currently.

      I actually tested the install on my work computer. There was no additional licensing that had to be dealt with. Download from the 365 portal and call it done.

      Holy crap. Where was this a few months ago when I was building my click-to-run installer? Thanks for the info.

      Right?! You can even upload your own and tweak it using that interface instead of going back and forth between notepad and the crappy TechNet doc lol.

      Another useful script there (and I have to find it to link it) is a reverse engineering script. So let's say you have a C2R deployment out there that you can't determine the current settings easily, it will build an XML file from that individual installation to tell you what's installed, update location, etc.. It's pretty cool stuff.

      Is it because of to many failures, so people feel the need to save for bad time?

      No idea, maybe. The great depression generation famously lost all of their money to inflation because they hoarded rather than investing. It's a weird paranoia that causes financial recklessness while feeling oddly like being conservative.

      Same bad emotional reaction that causes people to buy bonds instead of stocks.

      People seem to forget to invest in ammunition... that is the best investment in a collapsing economy. Pieces of paper won't bring you dinner once they are only worth the paper on which they were printed.

      @scottalanmiller posted an almost click bait worthy title claiming that Azure was down. Azure was never down and there was no outage. He lost access to services because Microsoft closed or deleted the account improperly.

      That's still Azure down. To us and our customers, Azure was completely down. All servers offline. It's an outage same as any other. It's localized in its impact to an account based "region" rather than to a datacenter-based region or whatever, but it is an outage just the same. The system was supposed to be up, and it was down and Microsoft was unable to bring it up. Even to Microsoft's own technical team it was an outage that they could not fix (for half a day.)

      @AVI-NetworkGuy +1 on JV.

      I have been using Apple JV for the past 5 years when they began making more of a push into corporations. At $100/user/year it's not insignificant, but I have found on many occasions scheduling a support call and h/w support to be well worth it.

      Another benefit is loaner laptop if you have to leave yours with the Genius.

      That's right! I forgot about the loaner benefit. That came in handy for us the other day when I had bring an iMac in for a repair.
