Microsoft kills off the book store you probably didn’t know it had
Anyone who bought books will have them deleted and will receive a refund.
For reasons that were never entirely clear, Microsoft released a book store for Windows 10 back in 2017. The Edge browser was given support for EPUB books, and the Microsoft Store had a book category, offering a range of free and non-free books. No longer: yesterday the company ended book sales entirely.

Joaquin Phoenix breathes new life into an iconic role in first Joker trailer
It's a standalone film as DC Films moves away from the shared universe model.
Joker is intended as a standalone film, with no sequels planned—part of DC Films' decision to move away from the shared-universe approach of their prior franchise films (aka, the Marvel model). So it has no relation to the Justice League films that came before. That freed Director Todd Phillips to create his own darker, gritty version of this iconic character, with a much smaller budget of $55 million.

Thumb drive carried by Mar-a-Lago intruder immediately installed files on a PC
The already suspicious breach of Secret Service security just got even more fishy.
The already suspicious account of a Chinese national who allegedly carried four cellphones, a thumb drive containing malware, and other electronics as she breached security at President Trump's private Florida club just grew even more fishy.
