Random Thread - Anything Goes

Can't download a Printer Driver from support.lexmark.com.
Why - because it's a .EXE file and the FW blocks it... Like really? oFFS!

heh - basically what our off site contractor did... Still.. I get security - esp with PHI involved. But you can't break the tools that your support people need.... jeez.

oh - I I don't see it as breaking tools IT needs - I need they need to provide a solution for IT - such as the one I suggested - or a separate network for IT to use that doesn't have those things blocked.

yes - there needs to be a path - an accepted and useable path - to get the tools and such needed. So that one doesn't 'break the system' and end up with a data breach... That... That would be a very bad thing (to happen again).
