I have a truly random piece of cleaning advice. I stumbled upon a reddit post about bathtub cleaning and a random dude highly praised a light oven cleaner as the most effective cleaner ever for a bathtub. He even tried to contact the company to explain it to them. The guy has used it for 10 years and there is no damage whatsoever to his bathtub, so I figured why not let's try it.

          Cleaner:

I wish I took a before pic, but I didn't expect it to be so unbelievably effective. No fumes, it's not harsh in any way I can see. I just think I happened to stumble upon a miracle product that can be used in a way it wasn't designed for to a great effect. This also removes soap scum from your glass. It doesn't use acid or lye like typical oven cleaners (specifically the blue can). Cleans glass, chrome, aluminum....anything seemingly. The reddit thread i found linked to OP here: https://www.doityourself.com/forum/cleaning-restoration-plus-mold-mildew-stain-removal/241497-how-remove-soap-scum-hard-water-stains-fiberglass-shower.html#post883820

Awesome, does it clean any of the built-up non-soap scum stuff typically around faucets/drains?

@wirestyle22 any idea if it works on tile showers? The porcelain tub is pretty easy to clean, but the grout on the walls always looks terrible, even after cleaning.

@JaredBusch Did you and your wife use japanese text books (math specifically) for your daughters? I know a lot of them have been translated into english. Do you have any recommendations for some standouts?

My kids have actual Japanese textbooks. We have to pick them up twice a year at the Japanese Consulate in downtown Chicago.

We mostly use them for supplemental learning though.

My kids were/are also subscribed to Benesse Challenge Touch From Pre-K to 6th grade.
Here is an old review in English: https://hiraganamama.wordpress.com/2015/09/09/benesse-challenge-touch-review/

Also my kids go to a school that is bilingual Japanese in the classroom. A U.S. public school no less :gasp:

That said, my soon to be 13yo (in 7th grade), is currently in Freshman honor's Algebra (passing with a high C 79.72%), and will be in Geometry next year.
