People being sentenced to 5 years for murder. He was sentenced to 9 years for armed robbery.
Crime laws don't fit.

That completely depends on how murder is defined in the jurisdition involved. Or are you trying to tell me that reckless homicide, involuntary manslaughter, and murder (using Kentucky law definitions from random google) should be termed the same?
