Disclaimer: I am talking this out in my head a need somewhere to put it and would appreciate the Feedback
Windows 7 pro PC - running dual NICs - 1 Nic keeps randomly disappearing , or disabling itself (which I thought was odd) after a reboot the NIC is there and site is back to normal.
My thought process on this is; Potentially the NIC came out of the motherboard socket - If the PC was moved or kicked or something - It's unlikely cause I've never seen it happen - not saying it hasn't.
The PC is that dirty, needs to be blown out and clean those sockets etc and reseat them.
Randomly thought it was the CMOS battery in the mother board that could be causing it - I've seen CMOS battery's do weird things to PCs.
- Steps taken to resolve remotely;
- reviewed Event Viewer; Got many errors that say "The Driver for Intel NIC stopped because device was removed"
+Uninstalled NIC and rebooted PC (software) issue persists. - Daily calls from Customer and a reboot is taken.
Is there anything else I can do remotely or do I need to go look at hardware? (which is what I'm leaning towards, Brought it to my Boss but Never made it there yesterday.

Loose socket is possible, but unlikely. But cleaning everything isn't a bad thing to do regardless.

In the Network Adapter options, disable anything that says power managment.

Power management was setup before the site was installed years ago, I did double check and the power management is disabled.

There's a couple of power management options on the NIC, but IIRC there's some bus-related power management options in the power-profiles. I've seen the NIC-related options take an interface off-line, but where you're saying that it's disappearing completely, I'd be more inclined to look at PCI or chipset drivers and settings.
