So update on this:
We ended up "Hard wiring" the "socket Server" iPad, and setting all Ipads to Static IPs resolved this issue, there are other issues but not with the connectivity. .It's great that it's working. I wish we knew the root cause but it is what it is.
Actually doesn’t sound like it’s fixed... just bandaided
pretty much.. but this is how we're going to keep it.
So the issue you were working on had more odd behavior initially or they "solved" that specific problem but their "solution" introduced other issues?
I dont understand the question.
the fix was taking the socket server off of the wireless network, seemed to have fixed the issue for now.
time will tell. What is a socket server?
Just some words that they made up to make people stop digging in to figure out what happened, I'm guessing. No one called their bluff, so it worked.
Probably.

I honestly have no idea, my assumption is that it's the tablet that is constantly connected to the cloud, and the rest of them connect to the socket server, but like I said, I have no idea.
They have a wifi enabeld tabled-based server? OMG
I literally said " I dont know, here's my assumption" so, I have no idea how you even remotely came up with that.
Well, if their 'words' are to have any real value at all - then Scott's assumption has value.

I still don't see it though.. even trying to look different ways around it.
That's what I meant by the last part - I can't see it. -
and this comes back around again today - issues with wirelessly connected tablets having connection issues ..

Oh, I thought the issue was wireless shit among all the ipads. That doesn't seem like they did anything regarding that.

the only other thing we did was we shut off "use Private Address" in network settings on all of the iPADs.

That was probably a good idea. That's setting causes iOS to spoof the MAC address and change it randomly.

That was just gibberish. They knew they weren't fixing anything. They were just buying time.

Because the customer specifically refused to let it be fixed.

He may be tasked with getting it "fixed", for good measure setup 2 DHCP servers on the same lan.

His company decided has stated they don't support firewalls/networks... so I have no idea how they plan to do anything for the customer. Additionally, WR has told us they outsourced their own firewall support, so they have zero inhouse support ability.
