This is just a consumer home service? No wonder they don't have any support. Those places would never be able to handle this. Even Cox and Comcast don't have any business phone offerings. This stuff is low end for a HOME user!
Yep, that's it.
anything to save a buck I guessdid they just buy this for this situation? or is that the whole service your company is using?

Did you see they had a "business" offering on their website.
Scott - while I understand the POV you're taking - Why hasn't someone/some company stood up and heavily advertised solutions like NTG and Bundy & Assoc provide? There might be a tiny bit of advertising out there for it, but really, google searches will almost NEVER lead to either of you. The big boys are crushing you face time. And you're surprised companies aren't using systems like yours more? why?

I'm just guessing that they both have more than enough business as it is, why advertise for more?

Long before COVID19Well, you could present NTG or Bundy & Assoc offerings, likely showing a significant savings over what you have now... the only thing is the likely sunk cost in your current phones at the office.

That's not a real suggestion is? Does google think it has enough business? or Apple, or Microsoft or Amazon? I'm betting not. Why would NTG and Bundy be any different?

/sigh - that's the point. You don't need anyone local for phones. The PBX is completely online. They can receive the phones and pre-program them, then mail them to you, or they can send them directly to you with fairly simple instructions on how to add them to the PBX, and then a config is pushed from the server to the phones.
The vendor can even do firewall and network troubleshooting with your remotely if needed. of course someone at your location will need the admin level usernames/passwords for all equipment.

This is a constant failing of so much management - they are stuck with the thought that someone has to be local.
HP sure in the heck isn't local in Omaha, they hire contractors to go to businesses to replace motherboards, etc for the onsite component. Those contractors are often hired by all the major players in that field, so one tech is doing HP, Dell, Lenovo, etc.
This is super common today.

Because customers hate business solutions and IT pros already know not to buy that stuff. Companies that care already do it this way, everyone else just wants to buy fluff marketing.
If we marketed like them, we'd have to cost like them.

For sure. I was always adamant about pointing out when things were done poorly, when things could be done better, etc. Never shied away from that.

NTG got much of its early business being those "local" guys for HPE, Dell, etc.
And funny enough... even being the "local guy" meant that our Rochester, NY guys covered like eight states. When those big companies are sending their "local guy", they are driving hundreds of miles much of the time unless you are in a huge city.
