Comparing MeshCentral 2 to ScreenConnect

Couple things on the nginx proxy things.
First one I know is something boneheaded I messed up in the configs, but can't figure out what it is. I'm getting an unable to connect web socket error. Haven't really had time to go look at logs yet, but figured I'd see if it's something someone would know.
Second, why do the Nginx proxy instructions assume that Nginx and MeshCentral are running in the same instance? I'd never run them both withing the same instance, separate VMs at least, and neither should anyone else.

@Ylian I'm pretty sure the answer is "no you can't" but I may have missed something.
Do we have the ability to print to a local printer from the remote PC? I know I can if I setup full RDP but doesn't look like that ability exists via MeshCentral.

God I hate people that asked for this stupid function. Printers need to die in a fire. Being printed remotely through a fucking support tool is WTF.

Is this for some kind of testing?

@scottalanmiller No, I have a client who uses software installed at a remote office PC and is asking to print to their local office.

MC is meant for IT to do remote management. It's not good for end users to replace RDP with. Could you? kinda, but not designed for that at all.

It's actually been the ideal solution for them so far.

Except that they can't print,

Exactly. Lol
-
@NashBrydges You can remote print using the ClickOnce feature built into MC. RDP needs to be enabled on the guest system. Before the RDP session connects just check the box for printers under local resources.
-
@NashBrydges Another option might be to setup google cloud print.

Is there a way to search by the username on the connected agents?
Say I have 1000 devices and I need to find the one that jane_doe is logged in at... is that possible? If not, I'll put in a feature request.

On the "My Devices" tab there is a filter box. does that work?

Not that I see. It tries to search by device name.

Also appears to work for user:<domain\username> as well.
