I'm hoping I can make it next year. And if given a grill, I will keep y'all fed.

I'm excited this one is coming to Dallas. I'd be happy to give a talk if there are slots available.
Let me guess. vSAN?
I'm not married to that topic, but it's an option. I could do one on career (fitting with a topic that might be on the Nerd Journey Podcast) or some other technology. I also thought about a talk that would give some tips on planning a successful upgrade (of any major application - LOB, hypervisor, you name it) and how to keep the user base as happy as possible during that process and after it is complete.
-
I think doing a talk would be fun, but no idea what to talk about.

We are heating up for some good attendance
Oh in that case, I suppose I should avoid attending... You know how JB hates Fireball...

Looking for international work. Considerations, etc.

I don't care what I have to do to get there... fly, drive, boat, walk... whatever... I'll be there!

Maybe there will be a Chicago to Dallas car pool!
ROAD TRIP!!!
-
Chicago to Dallas by train is not "horrible." It's long, but not that bad.

Hrm, how long is "long"? If it's less than 2 days, I might have to try it.

But for that cost, I would rather fly and only take a few hours.
-
Some people just love trains, some hate to fly. Twenty two hours is pretty extreme, though. That's one long day. But you can pretty easily sleep, eat, drink, even work on a train. It's super comfy, to me at least. If it wasn't for my need for a CPAP to sleep, I'd often do long train trips if they cost was close to flying.
-
@scottalanmiller Why can't you use a CPAP on a train?
