      Advanced IP Scanner (my favorite tool for Windows IP Scanning) doesn't work on Fedora. I tried Angry IP Scanner but doesn't give as much detail as I'd like.

      Another tool?

      (You will probably see me posting a few Linux questions here. @scottalanmiller is trying to convert me and I am a 'fish out of water' right now running Fedora 28)

        @ccwtech use nmap

        Or look for a GUI for it is don’t want CLI.

          Post away - I have been trying to push myself to Linux as well. There is a number of common tasks I still have yet to figure out,.. but over all - most of what I need to do I have been able to either find, learn or live without.

            seems to be a decent reference for nmap - might take a read...

              There are also some GUI options for NMAP... https://nmap.org/zenmap/

                For me I often use AngryIP when on Windows. But it's available on Linux (and Mac), too.

                  Depends what you want. nmap works well for a lot of info. arp-scan gives you a simple table of MAC, IP, and manufacturer.
