This is the Tesla model 3 which is there affordable model.
I thought there was a really long line to get those. And only the standard battery is available anytime soon from what I've read. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have one, but I prefer not having a car payment.
car payments are the devil
Not as awesome having that saddle on your back as you expected?
It's different. and the kicker is I'm paying x amount of money every month - for car insurance, and car payment - for it to sit 5-12 days at a time and I dont get to drive it! lol!
Why don't you get to drive it?
because I drive a work vehicle to and from work and around for work - and I usually have nothing going on to where I have to drive it- sometimes I just drive it to drive
I assume you bought this car from your mother before you got this job? or at least before you got the company car?
before I was allowed to drive the company vehicle back and forth and for work purposes, without being on call only- yes.
Well, now that you have a company car - might be time to just sell off the Durango - and get something cheap to just run around town in... put the extra money into retirement... You'll get to lower insurance a lot too.
Maybe, Maybe not.

Man, you see the abuse rentals get? sure, they have to have their own insurance or some shit - or you have to have special renters insurance, but I doubt that covers spilled icecream, etc, etc, etc.. It's one thing for Avis to go after a customer, it's another for you to do it.
Though - air BNB works under this principal.... and people are still renting out homes.. so not all renters are bad... but I'd say it's a lot easier to avoid issues like - other drivers, road hazzards, etc in a home than it is in a car.

HAHA that was my first thought too! I would NEVER volunteer my car for that crap. (Well...that and the service is not even near available for my area, after all Pierre South Dakota only has ~13k people.)

I think people are used to treating a rental car like a rental car, which is no bueno if it's your personal car, but Airbnb is different... More people seem like they can respect a domicile than can respect a rental car..

Yeah but on the flip side they don't have to adhere to the same safety regulations because it's not a purchase. Enjoy your death trap, next customer

huh? why wouldn't they? when you lease, that's not owning, yet the cars I assume have to adhere to the same regulations... the same would go for rental cars, again, I assume.

OH how is it?
Do you think a 6 almost 7 year old would like it?My 8 year old is okay with it, but gets board. BUT she is not a television girl so that is mostly the factor, I think. My 10 year old likes it. So if the 6-7 year old enjoys television, my guess is that it would be a little over their heads, but still fun.
