There was a new firmware update pushed out a few days ago from Ubiquiti and I did most of the access points last Friday.

A couple different units refuse to upgrade. I have defaulted, readopted, etc and still no upgrade sticking.

This Jeff City unit is just pissing me off. This is why I upgraded the controller this morning. Thought it might help.

      Any suggestions?

I know this doesn't explain why the access point is having the issue but you can try updating the ap through ssh just to get it upgraded.

When I say defaulted, I used SSH to log in and default the unit. I have never had one fail to upgrade like this before. It is multiple sites too. One at this one, 1 at another, and 1 at a third.

Anyway. There are new features in the Unifi Controller that I have never needed to use since they were added. going to try those before I break down to SSH.

SSH is a pain int he ass because I have to go to the settings for each site and get the device management password.

So just told it to do a custom upgrade.

I used the URL from the UBNT download site.

Normally the devices get their firmware from your controller instance.

Well that failed as well. So much for improved GUI tools.

So, F. Off to do an SSH upgrade on one to see if that resolves it.

                                  Not before the unit rebooted.

issued the updated command, used the public URL from UBNT, it downloaded then said waiting for update then rebooted.
                                  Normal SSH update screens.

Next thing to try will be to forget it from the controller, then SSH in and do a full script reset, then see what happens.

Ok, unit forgotten in the controller.
                                    Ran syswrapper.sh restore-default from SSH.

Now doing the upgrade prior to adoption.
