I find it interesting how much I have managed to get into here, not just addressing site or global tickets, but also doing some project work, server admin(mainly printers), powershell scripts, and procurement.
Current project is looking at some managed screen (digital) signage… and managed to end up the lead on growing list of sites for it…
Oh well, back to creating user accounts for now. -
Practicing installation of Red Hat Identity Manager.
-
Canceling PT for my daughter (19 months old) for tomorrow -
The whole reason is cause she's been slow to walk and was on the outside of that "normal range" - Thursday last week after we confirmed the appointment she stood up and started walking all over the place - There is no stopping her now! She's a walking machine.

Well, that was a fun afternoon.
Client asked for the /logs mount point on a mysql server to be doubled in size. What they didn't tell anyone is that they had already changed the settings in mysql for the logs.

YOu'll enjoy this... So a mutual old customer of ours (wink wink) that fired us over three years ago because we made it obvious that their new CEO was laundering, called us to beg for us to rebuild their infrastructure because they've not maintained anything for three years (even though money flows to an MSP every month AND they have a whole internal IT team now) and they don't know how to get their servers online. They literally called to ask us HOW TO SIGN IN to the servers that THEY have "maintained" with TWO companies for THREE years. LOL
We said sure, but I don't think you are in our billing system anymore (we already wrote down the $38K that they stole from us), we just need to set that up. And they literally acted shocked that they'd have to PAY us to do their jobs for them. They actually thought that we'd do all the work of their IT department, that they happily pay two organizations to not do already, for free!

What has been going on with the site the last couple of days? It finally loaded correctly just now.
-
@scottalanmiller Ha! Yeah. . .

Glad I'm not at the office today... The power has been out all morning, even the emergency lights are out. Found out that Georgia Power "hit a substation", which sounds pretty serious. So I guess the office folks get a day off!

Well,.. had some 'free time' - not really just making it up.
Picked up a Dell R720 the other week as a replacement to the Desktop that is running my Proxmox host. No Drives,.. but dual CPU and 128GB of memory. Had some drives,.. so trying to see what I can do with it other that just a large fan / white noise generator.
