Spent yesterday in the ER. Went through the night with chest pains. Visited an urgent care. They read my EKG and thought I was in a heart attack. Sent me to the hospital. Turned out fine, it's an esophageal thing and I'm totally healthy. But it was a long, scary day.
My boss spent two days in the hospital last weak because he had some numbness, etc on the left side. Numbs left side is like OMG heart attack to most people.
Bajillion tests later it was a pinched nerve. But now he knows his heart is healthy.

It's quite the great feeling getting all those tests and then being like "I'm in GREAT shape, lol" after thinking you might not make it through the night.

It was also great that the giant laundry list of risk factors that they asked about I was like "no, no, no, no, no...."

It's 8:30PM on Sunday night and the whole fam suddenly wanted Dominos. LOL

Mentally preparing to deal with another 25cm of heavy snow after work today. At least there's no commute to deal with for the whole work from home / COVID business.

AndroidTV is a super specific, nearly failed platform. Nvidia Shield, which is total crap, is the only main player of the AndroidTV field. We threw ours out, it was so useless. AppleTV is worlds better than AndroidTV. If you want something other than AppleTV, AndroidTV is not the alternative. Roku is the leaser, and FireTV is okay.

First rule of not knowing.... don't set the parameters. Your real goal here is "AppleTV alternative because... X, Y and Z", which is totally different than "AndroidTV for no reason."
It's like if you don't like macOS, you don't say "I need Windows", you say "I need something other than macOS, what should I try?" Because while Windows is one possibility, it's just one and if you don't know the range of options, randomly choosing just that one thing is likely to be a bad choice.

Agreed - what is it about apple TV you don't like?
I have both a roku and Amazon FIre TV, I use the Fire 95% of the time.
I've never found "searching" to work with any of these platforms, unless I know exactly what I want, but even then I often find a paywall in the way, but that's not generally an issue of roku vs AFS, it is the services you have...

I've had all four (AndroidTV, FireTV, AppleTV and Roku.) Moving to AppleTV and Roku as the only two going forward. FireTV was better than AndroidTV, but found it too slow and buggy, too. AppleTV is far from perfect, but I'm leaning towards it because it has some nice additional features now.
