@scottalanmiller warmer here than in Dallas just weird weather patterns

Spitting snow and 26F here. West and North of here there are far more icy spots. And all this with a backdrop of dying flowers from the last couple of weeks being spring weather.

Been without power since Sunday night. We get power for like 90 minutes every nine hours.

do turn the furnace (if you even have one) to nuclear?

Aux only can heat so much.

Easy fix, just pipe the cars exhaust into the house, nice and warm and helps you to sleep....

            Obviously this is sarcasm

How Texas has their own, unregulated power company that has a near monopoly over the area is what has me confused.

ERCOT is a publicly traded company with share holders, right? How did it manage this?

They are a nonprofit arm of the state legislature.

We are now getting power from Mexico. Because Texas shares power with MX but not the US.

Ran a nessus scan to see what it said, came up with a few things. Like i wasn't running SSL,
Also TLS 1.0 is enabled - but i can't seem to work out how to disable at the moment 😞

On the plus side, Fedora 33 apparently is/has disabled weak default cryptographic protocols https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/StrongCryptoSettings2
