Hmmmmm, not blocked for other users......
Looked in his personal block list, and what do I find?"I removed it from his personal block list that he manually added. Try again."
The thing I find more interesting is - who is acting as a go between? I hope it's the helpdesk, otherwise, why can't the user contact you directly?

Not right now, but over the weekend,
Replaced one firewall - two to go..
Replaced all of my new EOL'ed original UAPs...

I just referenced https://www.linuxatemyram.com/ in a ticket. PRTG throwing alerts that 99% of RAM is used. Wish I could easily fix PRTG!

something really weird happened on the drive in this morning.
i was listening to music I had downloaded about 3-5 months ago on my phone, then towards the end of the song that was playing, it cut out.
I flipped open the cover of the phone as sometimes it just vibrates and pauses.
It had paused, I hit play again and it was silent but on the car radio it came up and said "Eddie Van Halen great" & then that cleared and the song continued.I don't have any EVH albums on the phone, I do have Van Halens debut album & that's it.
Very bloody strange.

back working on site from this week, don't like it, don't like it all.
because you like working from home better? or because virus is running rampant there?
i much prefer working from home, more comfortable, better lighting, better seating, cleaner, less disruptive.

Had a weird one yesterday. Main fibre went down at one of our sites. But the backup router (On ADSL) didn't kick in. So went to site.
Found the router was plugged in but the port on the HP switch was not showing lights. Checked the config gui and saw the port disabled. But wouldn't let me re-enable. So changed the port and the lights flashed and then off, again checked the gui and that port is now disabled??
So as a test plugged my laptop and router into a separate switch and i could ping the router fine. plugged a patch between this switch and the main one and boom no connection to the main switch??

Something with Spanning Tree Protocol is blocking the port perhaps?

Morning coffee and about to walk the dogs.

Dogs have been walked. Now to take a real walk.

I like working from home better too, overall... But there's one thing that is a disadvantage. My office was busy before all this covid crap happened. For the last 7 months, it has been nothing but managed chaos with the amount of @&*#$)&@#$ we've had going on.

Yeah. There comes a time when you need to go into conservation mode and begin to protect yourself, I don't mean literally, I mean, just come to the realisation that it may not be possible to complete all the work that needs to be done, realise that it may be time to stop the 10 hours days, as there is so much work that all you can see in the future is 10 hour days.
(how's that for a sentence that goes for a paragraph
(how's that for closing a bracketed comment with a smiley face -

Local IT.
aka Helpdesk for the remote location, not our Corporate helpdesk.

Just ordered a Ksger T12 soldering station. thought sod it need a smaller iron to do SMD work and my current one the smallest tip it takes is the size of a SMD component.
Should be with me in 2 - 3 weeks.
