:man_facepalming: Son's mom called last night.
Her Boyfriend's Boss tested positive for COVID 19
Her boyfirends been in direct contact with my son.
So now we're all quarantining for 14 Days (longer)I was supposed to be back in the office this week.
That's bad news mate, I hope it all works out for the best.
Thanks.
Any way you all can get tested?
Not in the US. Testing is still incredibly limmited almost everywhere.

Testing for active virus takes like 3-4 days last I heard, and the antibody tests were only 85% accurate, again, last I heard.
@scottalanmiller have you heard any different?
With numbers like these, I'm not surprised that testing active is super low - not enough personal in the labs to do the tests, and the antibody test is almost useless at accuracy rate.

Abbott's current/latest antibody test was 100% accurate detecting antibodies and 99% accurate for samples that had no antibodies. They had a false positive, but no false negatives.
But their "clean" blood for testing was from January. So I wonder if that false positive wasn't false and no one knew it.

It can be done in a few hours. Obviously those are more costly.

No idea about accuracy, but testing isn't available broadly here yet.

Few hours based on a cotton swab from the mouth or blood test?
Or it doesn't matter? -
Just made some veggie corn dogs for myself, fed the kids a late lunch, and getting ready to get back to some editing work.

Gloriously sunny, and 28C here

@nadnerB Hello there. Rub it in. It's freezing over here, be maybe 10-12, overcast and dull.
When are they opening your border back up? I still want to come over for a holiday. -

I know, couldn't help it.Never at this rate.
Talk seems to be that it'll be tabled in July... but I'm not sure if that'll be all borders or state to state borders (No international travel). We're still region locked until Monday when that gets eased, so we go from 9(?) intrastate borders to 4 + biosecurity areas. Also, have a look at this: https://www.escape.com.au/news/hilarious-response-to-travel-bubble-map/news-story/824bf142e1a79c35dbc796ed94af6277

@nadnerB Hahaha. I saw that original bubble graphic the other day but didn't read up on it, I did think though, what, here we go with WA's stupid succession stuff again
That was pretty funny.
How's your job mate, secure or not sure??

Yeah, WAxit has been. We're now Westeroz
Job's secure, as my place is 'essential'... although I do feel like a bit like this:
How's things over your side? other than the dreary weather?

My morning. Dropping equipment off at a sheriff's office, and deploying 2 computers at 2 different locations. We'll see if it remains just "morning"
-
More fun times with Teams, Outlook, and Cisco AMP.

@EddieJennings One of those things is not quite like the others; one of those things is not quite the same
-
Coffee and misc. duties. Not very focused this morning.
