Just got back from being shown a house. Now we are talking about buying it. We were not looking at it with the intent of buying it, just getting ideas on what things would cost around the area. But it turned out to be freaking amazing.

I thought the Spain thing was semi-temporary.

The move away from the US is perm, Spain was just our first stop. But we love La Alpujarra so much that we are really, really tempted to buy a place and settle down. This village is so idyllic that it is really hard to resist. We were just wondering about what prices were like and then we got shown this amazing house with multiple gardens and terraces and tons of space..... and we are friends with the people looking to sell it, know what they figure that they can get for it and know that it would be pretty perfect for us. Very tempting.

Shaking my head at this one. Thankfully it was deleted but seriously.... both "how little do people know about hardware" and "why would you want to do this" are so out of control on this one...

The house that we looked at was over 2,000 sq ft which is enormous for a tiny mountain village, it is mountain side with crazy awesome views of the valley (same views roughly as in my pictures that I keep posting) with four bedrooms, two full baths (rare here), three kitchens (two inside, one outside), two gardens, patio, fish pond, access to the ancient Moorish acequia water system, fruit trees all over, huge outdoor gazebo kind of thing, small patio, and the roof top terrace isn't made but is an easy addition. Two living rooms too! And a big entrance way. It's a crazy property.
