30 minutes of troubleshooting with Dell support warrants my main driving computer going to the shop for repair.

Tried to install Ubuntu on a 2nd drive along with my main Fedora install for the Steam support. Ubuntu screwed up the boot loader but good. Just got back into Fedora, and it should be able to fix the boot problems. The boot loader Ubuntu installed dropped me to the
grub rescue>
prompt. -

Steam, specifically, falls over on Fedora. I figured doing a dual boot should be easy, but the Ubuntu installer didn't even get it's own boot settings correct. Everyone else has had this figured out for years. I wrote a live Fedora install to a usb stick, and was able to boot into both systems using it. Go figure. Booting now actually works for both Fedora and Ubuntu, thanks to Fedora's
grub2-install

I have never gotten a cup of coffee at work, I feared that work coffee was going to be super watery and not enough to actually taste like coffee..
