Just got salt-master running on my new VPS, and also set it up as a minion to itself for easy management via GitLab.
Working great so far.
I'm going to use Scott's LAMP state as a template and apply it after a little customization first.

Figured I'd play with Git and GitHub at the same time.

Officially off the clock... But it doesn't feel like I've gotten anything accomplished today.
Oh I can't say that...
fixed several user issues
de-racked a DL380 G5, and replaced it with a Dell R710 Gen II - wiped it and got iDRAC working and installed Hyper-V 2016.At least one of us got something accomplished, lol.

Just gave my morning "What did you do yesterday" report. Most of the lines were:
-Worked ticket #: User claimed X, but [the opposite of X] was happening.

You got to do that every day? That must be exhausting.

Yep. It's part of our "morning standup" meeting. At one time that was me + one of my bosses (a dev) + 2 devs. Though time, I started just posting my stuff in Slack. No one complained, so . . .

I see, I just document it and if someone wants to see it I can provide the whole transcript.

That's the kind of asinine stuff that will cause me to start job hunting.

Daily SCRUM isn't terrible (3 questions, only committed talked). Daily status meetings are hell.

I believe the daily SCRUM was the idea behind our daily status meetings.
