Trying to get caught up on tickets, since apparently the world ended on Friday when I had to take PTO.
Urgh. That's always fun. :-S
One of the reasons I dread taking more than an occasional day off.
That's was reason when I first started my IT career at my current job. But working at a small college makes it a little easier to take time off especially when there's a holiday.
yeah looking forward to my 3.5 weeks in december/january time off for the holidays
Lucky bum.
Around here, I usually wind up with 2, but burning a weeks PTO since the in-laws will be down .

comcast connection so bad today.
Reset it myself, same deal.
Call them up,
"Your wait time is between 1hr and 2 minutes and 2 hours and 30 minutes." Then 5 minutes in the queue i was promptly hung up on. -

Appropriately dubbed ComCrash in my neck of the woods.

I haven't noticed any Comcast issues in Utah. I did had had to switch some of linux to servers to repos that are locally in Utah.
-
We're having Comcast screwiness in Atlanta.

Yes, with some of my Linux servers. I've switch them to use a different mirror servers that is located here in Utah. My favorites are https://mirrors.xmission.com/ and http://mirror.cs.utah.edu/.

Spiceworks down for anyone else? The site is "up" but it shows me as logged out. If I log in, it says that it works, but goes right back to having me logged out.
-
was on there a few minutes ago with no issues posting.

Just refreshed, there's a banner that says "community update now live", so that's probably what's broken.

Community Update now live [Nov 6, 2017]

SPICEWORKS
SPICEWORKS COMMUNITY SUPPORTHey all, this is basically part two of last week's test (although now it isn't a test). The quick version is we have changed the language backend our servers are running on. It just finished fully deploying so if you see any out of the ordinary errors, please let us know!
Update: If you are attempting to post but it looks like it is hanging, two things: (1) check the topic, the post is actually probably there. (2) Try to post (something else, of course) but in a private / incognito session. If that works properly, it is recommended you clear your temp cache and any cookies for Spiceworks.
Because the middle of the day is the best time to do update your back end.
