What Are You Doing Right Now
-
I'm onto a new series...Bones! Great show! @scottalanmiller and @Dominica would like it, me thinks.
-
Dominica likes it, I never enjoyed it. I like the cast, but the story was too weird forensics. I don't like that trying to look real, but fake current science stuff.
-
lol, I used to watch it. Like you, I thought the cast was good and I also liked the character interactions.
Unfortunately, like most long running TV shows, I lose interest after a few seasons. I will watch it every now and then but I'm not clearing my schedule to watch it.
Ā
Stargate was slightly different in that I really like it but I (along with Mrs. nadnerB) watched every episode ever made in 4(?) months (10 seasons of SG-1, 5 seasons of Atlantis and 3 movies). Stargate Universe doesn't count for the same reasons that "Han shot first". I got series fatigued and had to take a break for a bit. I could never do that with Bones.
Ā
Added fun fact (at no extra charge), I watched so much Stargate in such a condensed time period that it was invading my dreams at night. -
A thunder storm is rolling through
As long as it takes the humidity with it and not any of my PC's, then it'll be quite nice.
Ā
Time for a cuppa and a sticky beak at the rain -
Just got home and I wanna sleep now..
oppps I need to learn something -
Power has been out for a while and seems like it'll be out for a while more.
-
Distributing new Dell monitors to all users, looks really nice, feels much better to work on a 24" monitor!
-
It's almost 9.30pm and a humid 31C.. Power will apparently be back on some time after midnight.

Moving UP to 24"? I'm at 27" now and would not want to go smaller. My dad recently moved to 37".

Traffic quadrupled in the past thirty minutes. I bet we are in for a big day, of site views, at least.

I have 2/"27 and 1/28" I can't imagine going back to smaller monitors.
-
I've actually dropped down to dual 21.5". Previously I had one 23" and one 21.5" but having different sized sucked and HP no longer offer a 23" so I downgraded.
Size isn't everything, you know, @scottalanmiller
-
Two different sizes sucks, IMHO, so much better when they match.
-
@scottalanmiller
Yes,.. You can get around with your monitors of different sizes.. but it just has a better appearance when they are the same. I'm running dual 24",... I'd like to have a total of 4 - maybe 6,.. But the others would be for network and service monitoring and the various cameras on site(s). -
I tend to like dual. Dual 27" has been pretty great for me.

I expect there will be a bit of a learning curve when you go mobile. Or will you be able to take large monitors with you to Spain>?

Trying to correct people who keep posting about Steve Job's birthday today and how great he was for creating Apple and designing the Mac and iDevices.
-
People who talk about Steve Jobs piss me off. He was a brilliant marketer and as such, appears to have seriously fooled a lot of people. The confusion over what is marketing and what is IT has made me respect so many "IT people" so much less.
