Playing around in KDE. KWrite has a vim mode which is pretty awesome. It's a pretty freaking good built in editor.
KDE always had a lot of nice utilities.
The main reason I never used it was the Windows key was always only a modifier and it was kind of slow sometimes. Now you can launch the menu with it. I've always liked dolphin over nautilus and Kate was always nicer than gedit. It's pretty snappy with plasma 5. I might try to keep it.

I don't know how long it had had it, but you can open a terminal window inside of Dolphin in the directory you are in. If you do a cd, the Dolphin window will follow. It's pretty cool.

As a side note, selecting text in here on iOS is terrible. I accidentally quoted myself and tried to select it. It won't let me drag the selection.

Nice, I need to play with it again.

Setting up a new Spiceworks server. Management requested it. I advised them not to. The original request was for Lansweeper, but the org is too big for that. I'm going to install the version of Spiceworks that I kept prior to their community integration.
So, if anyone has an idea on free 500 node network scanners, I'd love to hear it.

I didn't pack lunch and got busy so I had three pieces of lemon cake for lunch.

I feel like we have another Curtis3363 discussion starting. Remember how he argued like crazy that Linux was an OS? No logic, no reasoning and completely in the face of all industry knowledge?
https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1984000-is-bash-powershell
The guy who is unclear on Linux is fine. But Ed gets a bit crazy. Has no idea what DOS or Windows are and argues based on zero knowledge of the subject. Immediately gets personal and leaves the technical realm behind. I'm heading out the door, if anyone wants to see if this is Curtis in disguise.

@scottalanmiller Yeah. I was surprised. Actually only the last 3 years have been in the 40% range.
Total storage consumed:
2009: 9 GB
2010: 20 GB
2011: 40 GB
2012: 68 GB
2013: 116 GB
2014: 172 GB
2015: 253 GB
2016: 369 GBThat's not huge about of storage consumed by any means, but it was curious to see what the percentage of growth has been. Useful information for trying to get an idea of future storage needs.

Our trombone player has officially confirmed for tonight, so by 11pm we should have all the vocals and horn parts complete for the 1st song off our new EP. The process is now officially underway, couldn't be more stoked to stay up late on a weeknight.
