The kids are off to the playground with their grandparents. I'm watching a Norwegian film with my wife.
Which one?
You should take a look at "The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared" from Sweden. It's not the best movie around, but if you can get into it... it's just a special form of humor, nothing from Hollywood at all. I was told the book is way better, but at least we had a good time watching this.
Borgen. "The Wave" in English. basically the Norwegian version of San Andreas.

OK so it looks like there are running but can't see anything on the share? are they hidden in a special format? How do I check from XO machine where the backups went?
Using a NFS Share on a WD4000 NAS. -
Slow morning today...

Happy rainy thunder stormy Monday! Enjoying getting some rain today. We are in the middle of the worst draught our area has seen since 1943 so lots of rain is a good thing.

You're getting rain? It's sunny here right now.

Yup lots of rain and thunder.

Yeah we had a pretty decent down pour for about 20 minutes here in Brighton / Henrietta it's sprinkling now.
-
Ugh... we really need water. We haven't seen our brook this since I was a kid.

I'm recuperating from having to call 911 due to a mysterious and badly smelling smokey type substance filling the house last night.
Fire Department came out and checked the house over, and based on my explanation of events they checked the stove and the circuit breakers and suggested I call an electrician.
Waiting for re-inforcements to arrive now (read; My Pops is an electrician, we gonna do some basics before calling out the big guns).

Cleaning up a virus... I usually have pretty good anti-virus but unfortunately I get sick every now and then.

@nadnerB Eww, that's no fun!

Ended up going to Sylvan Beach this weekend with my gf and her family. We got to see fireworks. Actually spent the whole weekend together...we were watching HIMYM last night (which I totally love now), and I got a migraine...probably the worst one I've had in at least a year...shaking like a leaf and vomiting and just overall being miserable. Feeling better today thankfully.

You love now that you are giving it a chance? Or you watched it before and didn't love it but love it on this time through?

Have you gotten your eyes checked recently? I rarely get migraines but when I do it is from spending too much time with my glasses or contacts that aren't the correct prescription.

I'd always been told how good it was but had never watched it. So we started from the beginning on Netflix. She's already seen it all start to finish. She watched it when it was on TV. We got through about six episodes in full and part of S01E07 before we stopped.

It's a really great show. The story is a single one from start to finish, very uncommon for American television and especially for a show that ran for so long. It's extreme in that way, and that is a big part of what makes it so awesome. At the point that you are right now, it is not at all clear that you are watching a nine season mini-series, basically. The first season might be the funniest, but they trade funny for increasingly important story as they go along. It's so well done.

We need the rain as well, but it went right by us. Crops are doing ok so far, but farmers are worried, and we've got lots of farmers around these parts. Heck, even I could go for a good rainstorm, the humidity outside today feels like southern Florida, yuck!
