Looks like this

Wondring the best way to "make" a "gold image" of CentOS7 to create a Template for XenServer for rapid deployment ???
-
@stacksofplates That mouse is only $20 on Amazon, I might just try it out.
I've noticed some strain in my wrist recently too.

Create a template from the VM.

Create a template from the VM.
But how do I set-up the "Template VM" ?? like with windows before imaging you run sysprep to wipe UID and computer name etc so when you start it asks.
Is there a similar think with Linux? Or do I create a "generic" Linux machine when I deploy just edit the config files and change IP and hostname etc?

I make a generic Linux image and set it to DHCP. It generally has all updates done and some of our basic required software. When it gets deployed we set the IP address and hostname.

Well the process in XS is pretty straight-forward to create a template from a VM. In terms of "sysprepping" it I'm not sure why you'd have to.
It's a VM, hardware agnostic by design.
Each time you create a VM from the template it will get a new IP etc.

Two things:
- I'm buying my xbyte server today ^_^ (Poweredge R510)
- Turns out I have no blood pressure issue at all. The doctor completely misdiagnosed me and put me on blood pressure meds when I didn't need them. Turns out all I have is a sinus infection. I'm not even kidding.

So is there a malpractice suit in the future?

Ouch, bet you felt pretty terrible/out of it for a few days there. Not uncommon to be misdiagnosed.

¯_(ツ)_/¯
When I find out the risks of it maybe? I'm very hesitant to do that if it's not very risky for me. I'm not someone who jumps into lawsuits. I'm glad that my head isn't killing me though.

I can honestly say it was the worst set of migraines (about 4.5 days of consistent headaches) I've ever had. I never get headaches. So much pressure was built up and it was so painful. The BP meds didn't help (obviously) so I went back and met with a different doctor and she was like uhhhh

What's funny is that they normally get a few weeks of you doing self administered blood pressure tests before they will prescribe blood pressure medication. They need a base line to determine how bad it is and what the dosage need to be for your weight/height/etc.

Misdiagnosis happens all the time.

I took allergy meds and ibuprofen (I wasn't thinking because of the pain) and that caused my blood pressure to skyrocket. Of course I told the doctor this. They even had BP taken through the years from me and it showed no sign of being elevated from genetic predisposition. The issue is I didn't know any of this and I gave her all of the information she needed and she still chose to put me on blood pressure meds. Told me it was for the rest of my life and I'd never eat a cheeseburger again, etc. I honestly thought I'd never have a good meal again.

Yeah. This is quite unfortunate and true too.

It should be enough of a scare to encourage you to eat slightly healthier... Get a side salad or apple slices with that cheese burger instead of fries.

I definitely am. I realized there is no really good way to avoid sodium. Even wheat bread has like 120 mg of sodium per slice. It's insanity.
