Now we can all see how none of us actually post anything on Instagram, lol. I need to train myself to use it more as it is a handy way for different people to consume my pictures differently.

Super simple pic sharing. Like Twitter for pics. Just so easy.

lols this topic makes me install insta pic on my phone

I upload all of my pictures to Flickr. For people who want to see MY pictures, easier to see them there.

I haven't used Flickr before. It looks kind of helpful but my Internet footprint is getting too big. I think I'll stop opening accounts on random services

Flickr is part of Yahoo and is, IMHO, the best image sharing and storing site out there. The interface is clunky now but the service is great. Tons of storage included, tons of categorization of your photos. Instagram is for 20 something girls to share their selfies, Flickr is for photographers to share their work.
Flickr lets you title, describe, categorize, tag, EXIF and more. It's designed to be your photo catalogue.

hahaha opps my internet right now is too poor so i can't even download my Instagram app on my phone.Poor me
-
@scottalanmiller Hmmmm, might be worth looking at. Instan00b may find itself replaced.

It feels as if mine has as well. seriously considered down sizing several accounts and time spent.

Instagram isn't searchable or usable from the web really. Think of Instagram as Twitter for pics and Flickr as WordPress. One is for fleeting pics of food and yourself that your followers see fly by in a stream of lots of people's stuff and that they won't see again. Flickr is for keeping pictures, making them searchable, etc. Very different use cases.
My Flickr account has been used to find several pictures for professional publication. That doesn't happen on Instagram.
