        @Carnival-Boy how was the concert?

        Awesome. Just over 3 hours long. Hard to believe he's 66.

          Re-testing my Radius server with the AC-PRO access points and new V5 Controller.

          All seems good. Now to just find where one cable runs so I can set-up the VLAN's to a meeting room AP and I can install them. Then start kicking people off the Main SSID onto the new ones that are secure.

                  That WOULD BE the better option. But... there are not any. Not even of the schema. Which is actually all that I would need.

                    That's insane... "If there are no backups, clearly the data is worthless..."

                      You are correct. Both in the general theory AND in reality. The data IS worthless. The problem is, the system is so corrupted that we can't dump the data!!

                        @scottalanmiller So just blowing away the entire system is the only option right? Why force you through the headache of even trying to repair it?

                        Or is it such a custom setup system that blowing away the system is the last resort?

                          Because the database itself needs to remain, even if blank.

                            @travisdh1 Agree on knowing history.

                            But do you still pickle all your meat because it was done this way in the past? Or are you using a fridge today? PIC isn't bad at all, I do just prefer something else today. The PIC in the example above wasn't my choice and the project suffered from it. Took me two or three more weeks to hack (and __inline) around some issues like the very limited stack size. Here's some good reading about it: http://embeddedgurus.com/stack-overflow/2009/04/pic-stack-overflow/

                            Yep, they can be a real PITA to work with when a PIC isn't the right tool for the job. They are very limited, even when compared to things like the ATmega328 series used in Arduinos. If you're doing simple battery powered things, then they can really shine.

                                  Working on FrankenSwitch again. Fans robbed from a dead 1U server, new 5V AC/DC converter, internal power distribution, little optical improvement on the front LEDs...

                                        @thwr Is that really a 16 port swtich, 4port + wan router, and a Pi in one case? Nice!
