Getting Booking.com reviews written then heading out to find a mechanic.
you own a car in Europe now?
We rent cars for a season at a time. We've had a car since we arrived in Greece.
So wouldn't you just need to find a rental place to trade your car in for a replacement instead of a mechanic?
But that's like six countries from here.
So who actually pays for the repair? You guys or the rental company?

We have to, no way for them to do it. Hopefully we get reimbursed. We have several insurance issues that we need to bill them for as well as they screwed up the insurance and we keep having to buy it at the borders.

Just saw pictures from @dengelhardt who is stuck at home from the Houston flood.

saw some videos of that on the news...looks mental - and the video of the old guy just sat in his car as it sinks is just worrying...

Wondering how much it would cost or if I could build my own Jacuzzi/hot tube.

Imagine if the US did that state to state?

That's almost like the old cliché communist "Papers please" (from the 80 spy movies) when ever you cross a check point.

They actually used to for trucks. Every state you went into, you had to stop and get a sticker so they'd be able to tax you on the miles the truck drove in the state. The tax hasn't gone away, but stopping to get stickers in every state has.

Now they just make the trucks pull over at the weight stations and make sure they aren't hauling to much on the roads that they are on.

Wondering...
Did Google Drive always automatically sync my files for "offline" use or is that new?

That's not nearly as common as it once was. Yeah, they still randomly open the weigh stations on the highway, but you're much more likely to get pulled over by the DOT with a set of portable scales in the trunk of the cruiser. Thankfully I worked for a company that paid attention to that stuff when I was driving.

Always did if you accepted the initial defaults for the local client config.

Hmmm, never noticed that before, but to be fair I don't really use Google Drive/Apps

Trying to find a good password manager for my executive director. Is there such a thing?

Folks here are pretty spread between LastPass and KeePass. I'm one of the folks in the KeePass camp. KeePass + ownCloud (or DropBox or Google Drive, etc) = Win.
It's not as neat and pretty as LastPass, but it does get the job done at a price that can't be beat.
