What Are You Doing Right Now
-
Okay, I often wonder if it is something to do with being so remote. No error or anything, just timing out.

Ya that's what I got too.

Pheww, not just me. We had issues with Netflix today so always concerned that something is wrong. But things are fast and normal here and on the Rocketchat with @anonymous so I was thinking that things were fine.

Did you build a Rocketchat or are you using their demo?

Ooh I didn't know he set a server up.

Yup, we've been chatting on it for twenty minutes now. It's pretty much a copy of Slack
-
@Dashrender is on the chat now, too.
-
That chat would be awesome here with files etc.
-
Did that chat thing crash?

That only showed up, from what I can tell, after the outage was over. Normally when there is planned maintenance they put up a banner to that effect while it is down.

Making the morning coffee here, sun is just coming up.

I'm an hour from crashing myself.

What is the point of it though? I mean Slack is a good tool. I also use Hangouts, Skype, and IRC (rarely).
I stil do like those tools for help and day to do posting.
-
I'm just interesting in checking it out as a potential Slack-like tool for when needed. I agree that as a general thing having an IT chat or similar group does not make sense. It's a not a good way to get assistance and not a good way to record a knowledge base and such.

Oddly my four year old just got up after only five hours of sleep to come down and hang out with me.

Getting ready to finish a project of replacing and tidying a comms cabinet at one of the offices.

Good morning European neighbours!

Got surprised a bit when someone showed up to clean our house. That happens to us a lot in other countries. Suddenly someone will just knock on the door and be there to clean and we are in pajamas and all confused.
