What Are You Doing Right Now

@dafyre got tired of that stuff, so I put in a pellet stove. Bags come on a pallet. Carry them in and keep a stack next to the stove in the basement. (I rigged up a forced-air system, so it acts as a furnace and does a great job.)
-
@art_of_shred I'm still all young and spry, and we are doing family members a favor by clearing out some trees they want gone and all too... I actually enjoy short meetings with my old friend Manuel Labor. My Pops enjoys it too... Just gotta keep a can of WD-40 around to keep his joints from freezing up... I think he's related to Tin Man.
Can you run pellets in a wood burning stove, or does it take a special kind of stove for that? Mine has an automatic blower and all on it when there is power at the house. If there's no power and it is the dead of winter, then we're stuck sleeping next to it at night for warm air, lol.

Do you have that tied in with the AC as well?

Got quiet on here all of a sudden. Did NTG go offline again?
-
Just a busy Monday morning.
-
Trying to figure out why domain user accounts can't use the start button on a Windows 10 VM I created but local users can. It is really odd.
-
Still back to bashing my head against powershell scripts... Trying to improve them more... I got my rappCache to process 34k users in ~1hr and 17 minutes (down from 2hours when i started).

Y'all have been busy posting the last few days, geez.

Actually, it is all this morning (US time). It was dead over the weekend.

Yeah, it was an incredibly slow weekend. Jared was nearly the only one around.

Pellet stoves don't do AC too well. Nah, no AC. I live in NY, remember?

This is the first weekend since I joined I wasn't on.
Heck, I even posted all through Thanksgiving!
-
This has been a really slow week or two for me too. I've been exhausted and watching the kids so much that I have been on very little.
-
@dafyre I wouldn't recommend trying to burn pellets in a wood-stove. Sure, they'll burn, but your grate isn't set up to handle the tiny little pellets. Pellet stoves have a hopper and an auger and a small burn pot. There is a timer on the auger to feed a small amount of pellets into the burn pot, which operates in a pressurized compartment. It's its own animal.

@dafyre & @art_of_shred Home Depot had a sale last week for a pallet of Pellets for $250.
Not sure if it's a good price or not, but worth mentioning if it is.

How much is on a pallet? Weight wise?
-
Something like 250 Pounds, I don't recall exactly, but that seems close (in my head)
-
A pallet of pellets is typically (50) 40# bags = 2,000#. $250 is an average price for the mid-grade stuff that would be available at HD.
-
Ha, guess I wasn't paying that close of attention... 250 vs 2000 pounds
-
Being "in-season", that's probably a good price. I buy off-season and spend about the same for high-quality pellets, and they get delivered to my door.
