What Are You Doing Right Now

I replied to the thread, that makes sense.

That's normal. It is what I see as well. It is basically saying he posted a reply to the thread and not to you.
-
@scottalanmiller this never used to happen! Do you all get alerts when someone posts in this thread?

Yep... you can unwatch it but next time you post it just watches it again.

Yes.

The only page I use to view new content is the Unread page. Do people use the notification page to navigate the site?
-
I use the unread mostly. I have the notifications on threads I create, or if I am "tagged" in a post.

My method as well - I use notifications to keep up with a conversation or when people have tagged me. Thus epic confusion when I started to get them for EVERYTHING in this thread lol. Un-watched and everyone is ok now.
-
I cleared by notifications and it was back to 20+ in under 30 seconds.
-
Yup whenever I post in a thread now it gets "watched" :[
-
@MattSpeller -- if it makes you feel any better, I've always gotten the Soandso replied to a thread... but only on threads that I have commented on.

Uncheck "Follow Topics I reply to" in your settings. That should fix that.

Have you EVER changed your settings? Because I would love to know if the only people hit be the default change are people who never made a setting change in the past.

@JaredBusch no I have not
-
-
@JaredBusch I think your theory is correct.
-
Yes, looking pretty likely.

Hosted Spiceworks is super easy to use. Pretty basic but has what we need for the lab just fine.
