What Are You Doing Right Now

As long as the sky is not falling, we should be good!

He is busy trying to restore his laptop with the recovery image I sent him.
That and rebuilding a user profile and installing a Win10 upgrade...

Just wrapped up another article. I'm on a roll.... mostly because I am avoiding other tasks that need my attention.
I have a list of... "special" tickets just for that same reason.

Listening to 2 people talk loudly to each other via speakerphone... less than 20 feet away from each other... I can hear both people acoustically, and I can hear both speakerphones, all over the music in my headphones. Stereophonic stupidity.

And.... the marching band is back.

For the second time today, someone who describes exactly what they want and it is totally obvious what the correct answer has to be, yet specifically state that they don't want the exact thing that they have described!

The entire thread is just someone describing a Drobo Mini.

@scottalanmiller I read that one earlier!
"I don't want a NAS" "I want a NAS" were just a sentence apart

What was the other one?

Someone wanted mirrored disks, but didn't want it called RAID.

And then there is this...
-
Eventually it all goes to shit?
-
I have no idea what that guy is on about.
-
Maybe he is just.... dumping things in the thread?
-
Thread is deleted now, lol.
-
Not surprising, does not sound like the makings of a real thread. There are actually a lot of those weird random ones like that, just people going around deleting them very quickly.

Hey @MattSpeller and @cakeis_not_alie do you have any input on Canadian Privacy Laws that say you can't log there?
-
@scottalanmiller ahhahahahah no, that's not a thing, and likely just some HR person being paranoid.
-
@scottalanmiller Even if you go with a hardline interpretation of the rules there's nothing even remotely relevant to that in the most strict legislation (BC's PIPA). Should you go realllllly off the deep end, we get your consent to collect all this when you sign our hiring paperwork.
tl;dr - if it's on a work provided PC, it's company property (for better or worse, so keep all the bleeping torrents off our gear)
Part 3 of BC's PIPA dealing with consent.
