Are there windows to keep the rain out? hard to tell from the pictures.
Nope, rains right into the house. If there is a storm that gets so bad that it is blowing rain into the middle of the kitchen or onto the table we can bring down those rolled up slat things, but only on the one side. There is no way to block off the outside to the part of the house facing the pool on the balcony / seating side of it.
Wow - how are the bugs? Have you heard if they are worse/better at other times of the year?
-
I hope to get out in the town and take some pictures today. Have errands to run like going to the grocery store, learning to navigate, figuring out exactly where we are compared to the church, lake, etc. Gotta go get local money too, only have US Dollars at the moment.

Central America does not have many bugs. I saw the shadow of one flying outside and we saw one dead one in our luggage that came with us from Texas. That's it.
Oh wait, the girls found a small dead moth last night. That was it.
It's not like the US, no need for glass on the windows or screens. We were in Panama all that time and basically never saw a thing.

huh, I wonder why that is?

I have no idea. We thought that there would be tons of bugs, but there is not. Might be that they use tons of pesticides. Here on the Pacific coast you never see a bug. On the Caribbean coast, though, there are a lot and it is a health hazard - it's also the actual Mosquito Coast so.....

Pool guy just came and cleaned the pool. @dominica is standing in the pool now cooling off. It is warm here.

THe four year old just fell off of the hammock onto a tile floor. Ouch.

Ow, ow ow ow. That's always fun. My 4 year old gets in too big of a hurry and walks into door frames (even if the door is wide open, lol).

Trying out the free hosted Spiceworks. It would be nice if you could do a cname instead of the whatever.on.spiceworks.com

Why can't you do a CNAME pointed to that?
-
@johnhooks Let me know how that works... I thought about setting one up for myself... just haven't got around to it.

Wouldn't this require giving Spiceworks an admin level username and password for at least your workstations so they could inventory them? WMI?
