      @chiefplato said in Nextcloud OPCache warning:

      Hello,

      I run Nextcloud 13.01 on nginx and Centos 7 and was able to get the opcache warnings removed by adding the following to my /etc/php.d/opcache.ini file (below) then restarting php-fpm

      opcache.enable_cli=1
      opcache.max_accelerated_files=10000
      opcache.save_comments=1
      opcache.revalidate_freq=1

      Awesome, thanks.

      @zachary715
      You can turn on debug by changing false to true in .env file, so you can see more information instead of Whoops, looks like something went wrong.

      # REQUIRED: BASIC APP SETTINGS # -------------------------------------------- APP_ENV=production APP_DEBUG=true APP_KEY= APP_URL= APP_TIMEZONE=America/Denver APP_LOCALE=en

      @JaredBusch hi,

      I'm definitely resetting the Http server after every processing, I even started it again. I didn't succeed

      I checked opcache with a small Php script. Opcache works successfully But Nextcloud does not see it.

      Mostly because I either missed it, or never used it in favor of PHP7.

      WTF?

      I was speaking of the people on the NextCloud forum. You would still use SCL for any PHP > 5.4 on RHEL

      Did you check the repos before calling me an ass or taking the word of some random person on a forum? I don't think so. You are so insistent that this is my fault and wanting to call me names that you are blindly willing to assume anything. Bottom line.... one official spokesperson for the company responded that the issue should not exist after asked directly if it was fixed. A random person on another forum made a comment about something that doesn't exist and you took their word for it as a reason to badger me.

      Here are the full contents of the repo for those interested.

      So where is the PHP7 package that you are berating me about? Please provide me the link as I cannot find it.

      I wonder how much this will impact CPU investment in the next 24 months as the needs of the cloud computing world start to scale back temporarily.

      Have you guys at ownCloud looked to see if there are significant changes in memory for these speed boosts? Like is more or less memory being consumed?

      I've been working with PHP 7, it's pretty impressive so far, I really love the type hinting / pseudo-static typing -- it's something I've wanted for PHP for over a decade. There are missing extensions which haven't been ported and most importantly, xdebug, doesn't look like it'll be ported for a while, as on github I noticed the primary contributors were complaining that it'd be "too hard" to do it. In the mean time I created a drop in replacement which works somewhat OK:

      http://tonyshowoff.com/articles/php-7-replacement-for-xdebug-tracing/

      Code is under MIT/X11, because unlike Stallman, I don't believe in forcing you to let me see your code, in other words, I've showed you mine, you need not show me yours 😉
