Energy efficiency?

Has anyone started to look more at increasing the energy efficiency / lower power consumption of your current servers and infrastructure?
I've made some test and could save more than 50% power on idling servers by tuning BIOS and OS power management (linux).
Some of these things could be scripted to bring down power consumption during low use periods, for example outside business hours.

Yes it's one of the reasons we moved a lot of end points to Mac M hardware and Raspberry Pis. Much lower power consumption.

Are you still getting rPi devices at the original $30-50 range? I can't find any less than $150

It's been a little while. I can only buy them every 9 months or so since they aren't sold in this part of the world.
Weird that they would go up in price when no new models have come out in so long.

Not weird, they haven't been available for months.

Supply and demand. . .
There are likely thousands of these sitting on a dock/cargo ship just waiting to get delivered to the outlets that sell em.

If you order them they will ship here. But no stores sell them. They basically only sell laptops here or gaming rigs. Something like an RP is confusing and there's no market for it.

Nope, been on continuous back order since first release. There is no "spare" machines in the RP universe.
