Unable to adopt USG Pro into Unifi Controller - Server Reject

@ccwtech Is the device actually on the internet?
Yes it is. It can ping the controller without issue. Right now I have ordered a different router to see if it's an issue with this particular one. I am also asking the ISP to investigate a possible issue on their side as well.
It's odd, but I remember that when I put in a new server about a year ago. I had to manually set the MTU in Windows Server 2016 to 1450 or it wouldn't stay connected. Hopefully one of the two will solve the issue... Unifi support is beyond worthless.

You don't purchase Ubiquiti for the support...
-
@CCWTech - Are you seeing the USG Pro in the controller with the option to Adopt? Or are you setting the inform and it just doesn't show up in the controller?

Never shows up in the controller.
Have you tried upgrading the firmware?

@syko24 Yes.

@syko24 Yes.
Not sure how many sites you have setup, but is there a possibility that you accidently added it to another site in the controller? I know you mentioned the MAC did not show up when you queried it before. I had an issue while back where I was trying to adopt an old USG I had on hand and it was not showing up because I never removed it from another site.
-
@syko24 It has been factory reset multiple times and not in our controller anywhere.

If I think of anything else I will let you know. Maybe just a reboot of the controller?
-
@syko24 Tried that. And thanks. This one isn't easy.
-
I know you can point an AP to the IP of the controller. Is that an option here?
-
@gjacobse How would that help adopt a USG Pro?
-
As I haven’t worked with one, I don’t know. It may not be an option…
-
@CCWTech When you do your set-inform are you using the domain name or IP of the controller? If the domain name, maybe dns is not resolving correctly. Maybe try your inform by IP???
-
@syko24 Tried both.
-
Since you're waiting anyway... I'd setup a local controller and see if you remove the inform line if a local controller picks it up on broadcast.
But if you have better things to do.. then just wait for the new one.
-
@dashrender Even tried that and it adopts. I tried to then migrate from that local controller to the online one and no luck. I had the ISP make a change (increase MTU) and going to try when the new one arrives tomorrow. Hopefully that will fix the issue.

Can you change the MTU of the USG to 1350 or so? I know you mentioned you did that in the past on a server, didn't see you mention you did it here.
-
@dashrender I think I tried as low as 1400 but not that low.

What's the adoption process we are talking about.
