@Nic I'm not sure what's left for Disney to reboot!
Or ruin,....
-
Apparently it's going to be 100% new so:
- none of the original actors
- no Joss Whedon
Which makes me less excited.

AND family friendly - this show is going to blow compared to the original. Definitely something Disney should sell to another network so it can be done correctly.

And lose all of those sellers rights? Disney..... would never sell it.
-
With all the acquisitions Disney has been making, the portrayal of Mickey Mouse from the last few seasons of South Park becomes more and more perfect.

It's on Disney, I'm actually sad that they are rebooting. There's zero possibility of this not being a shit show.

It is not zero, but it is pretty fucking close.

The original was TV-14. What is Disney+ allowed to go up to?

There is zero ability to use the original actors and continue the story. Way too much real time has passed.
IMO, there is also no way to use the original actors and make a time jump. That would skip way the hell too much.
I also do not want new actors to try and pick it up from where it left off.
So 100% new is the only way to make it happen.
Disney did shit right with The Mandalorian, but they have screwed up so much other stuff. I think that the odds are really, really low to get it good.

allow - whatever they want, the article specifically says family friendly... so for disney that practically means no guns...

A joke or not, once "Disneyfied" it will lose some luster.
