Domain Profile Copy; old to NEW

I've sen a number of profile backup scripts in PS,.. and many use RoboCopy as a part of that... I could easily see this being the same in bases.

I myself like the simplest tool possible to do any job. So with that context RoboCopy/Richcopy are my favorite tools for this sort of thing in Windows. Assuming Windows because you mentioned powershell. Scripts can be scheduled, monitored, and free. Its my preferred way of doing things. Don't need expensive tools to do this.

Don't even move it. Just use Profwiz User Profile Wizard to change the SID stuff in the registry.
Takes like 2 minutes and with thousands of devices I've never had an issue.
P.S. If it's a one off or so I'll just use the "free for non commercial" use version ( I know... ). If it's a batch I'll buy the licenses. It's about $150 for 50 computers. The commercial version can also be scripted quite easily to run from an RMM, PDQ Deploy, etc. -

While I don't think Desktop Services should need to do this if the domain switch is being done by script already. We are about to do a re-org, that is likely going to 'touch' about 200-300 people.
We used a particular tool, but for the life of me me I can’t recall. I’ll have a look when I get back to the office on Monday... unless I can remember it before. It’s going to annoy me.

Sadly- a State Gov is not likely to buy such an application. Not to mention the timing, they would have had to investigate this application for six- ten months to ensure function and no adverse issues.And as I said this is likely going to affect 200-300 people. Additional element is that there are four different browsers to deal with: IE and EDGE should be issues, it Chrome and Firefox might be. I know in the script I found- it addresses that, but it was a profile backup to external drive..

Firefox is by far the easiest to backup. Everything you need is in C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla

@gjacobse : What about just using Microsoft's USMT then? It's a little more difficult to use but accomplishes the same thing as Forenzit's tool.
