Just Secured an Interview for a Job I'm not sure I actually want but willing to hear them out. We'll See.

      At this point, take ANYTHING.

lol - well, it might not be IT, assuming that's where he wants to continue forward....

No, It's in the field but it's not IT work. It's an IT company that does 5 different things and the position is Sales, Uncapped.
Weirdly enough Im only hearing him out because I need the interviewing experience.

Good way to look at it. Yeah, skip that. Gas station attendant would literally be better.

      already did gas station attendant.

Going back to it from where you are now (in terms of work place stability) would probably be better.

      absolutely not.

Well I guess you get to deal with the abuse monster that is your supervisor/not-supervisor weirdness for a while longer.

Going back would mean Overnights, or Clerk Position and wouldn't be able to pay bills at all, and would mean dealing with yet another Horrible Store manager / Monster Supervisor who just want to take advantage.
      at least here It's Stable.

How can this be? In lower cost markets gas station work pays better than what I think you are getting now.

Overnight managers make 32k a year plus benefits, but have to work 9pm-8am. Clerks make 11/hr and have limited hours.

right, so they don't have to pay benefits.

They still give benefits for over 32 hrs a week.

I think legally, 32 hr/wk is full time

      Oh you're probably right.

The job is Partime clerk who works full time.

Illegal, charge the business for your time. If they don't pay you, sue them (literally any lawyer would take the case)

the pay scale is like this for A certain Gas station I worked at:

          Part time Clerk/ Full time clerk = 11/hr -22k /yr
          Clerk Trainer = 14.50/ hr - 29k a year (with bonuses)
          Night managers = 33k /yr
          2nd Manager = 38k / yr
          1st manager + 38k / yr
          Store manager = 53k/yr

          Division manager = 75k/yr
          District manager = 90k /yr

          IT Ops = 100k/yr
          Security = 123k/ yr

The position Name is "part time clerk" who can work a max 40 hrs a week = Part time Clerk who works full time.

40 hours a week is a standard "full time position" their made up title has nothing to do with the fact that you'd be working full time.

So these are site security personnel, but money truck drivers that go to each location and get the bags nightly/weekly etc? I guess that makes sense that they would make good money. Still doesn't make sense from the point that they would make double what the DM would make.

Security Guards in Certain areas, like Texas, IA , Georgia, Arizona, . Not offered in my district at the time, and only offered to retired police officers, Military in those areas.

That's odd that a security guard would be paid so much more than the district manager.

They're protecting the money, so the incentive has to be higher.

So these are site security personnel, but money truck drivers that go to each location and get the bags nightly/weekly etc? I guess that makes sense that they would make good money. Still doesn't make sense from the point that they would make double what the DM would make.

I may be wrong, but If i remember correctly, yeah.

The job is Partime clerk who works full time.

Illegal, charge the business for your time. If they don't pay you, sue them (literally any lawyer would take the case)

No one said they weren't paying.
The position Name is "part time clerk" who can work a max 40 hrs a week = Part time Clerk who works full time.

40 hours a week is a standard "full time position" their made up title has nothing to do with the fact that you'd be working full time.

You're literally Fighting me on the name of the position right Now?
                                    are you bored?

Not fight, just telling you the position title is made up, and doesn't reflect what it actually is.

                                    It's a full time position - clerk.

                                    Nothing more or less.

You'd think you were right, but that's not the case.

for W4 reasons, they are part time clerks.

I just double checked and no where on the W4 is there a "job title" field. It's all about your pay. So I still don't know where you're getting this from a "W4 reason".

They just made up a title and expect you to work full time? What would a full time title be for someone who works over 40 hours a week? Full Time Clerk?

Doesn't make sense, because anything 36-40 hours a week is considered full time.

Which, technically only the DoL cares about how many hours you work, and the IRS only cares about how much you need to pay in taxes.

This title topic just makes no sense, logistically.
