That pretty much sums it up. I was literally going to order a Huawei watch this week because I thought that the price and look was amazing. But no, that seems like a bad idea now (if they figure things out, I'll totally buy one to support them later.) Right now I need one this week to wear to Europe (smart watches are an important part of effective travel.) I want something attractive and very functional.
The Samsung is nice, but too pricey. I'm thinking $150 - $200. This is a utilitarian travel device not a fancy watch. Right now from quick research, I'm seeing a lot of love for Fossil and Amazfit. Anyone have experience or thoughts?
I have this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NC8PMUK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I didn't even realize Lenovo made watches. Not surprised, they are quite big.
I didnt either until I found this watch.
Anyway, I really like it.
I'd say highly functional. In my opinion of course. Connects to your phone, has reminders, agendas, fitness tracking, google Translate . -
Just as an FYI when I google search for smart watches I get ads for $600+/watches. . . so I think good has my market range a bit confused.

This is my current front runner. Thoughts?

Reviews seem to be mixed depending on where you look, but mostly favorable.

This is another option, but no price benefit and I'm not sure that I see anything that I like "better". Solid, but seems like a secondary choice. And not from Huomi. Huomi is a big plus to the Amazbit.

She just bought the Huomi Amazfit Bip for herself, too.

Sweet. Don't forget to do a review. I have a fitbit ionic. I got it for free and really only use it for the time and pedometer function.

Definitely will. It's for some hard core use traveling Europe in a few weeks. So these will be covered thoroughly!

In detail...
Athens > Santorini > Chania Crete > Rome > Naples & Pompeii > Montecatini Terme > Florence > Luzerne > Paris > Barcelona
-
For those not familiar with Montecatini Terme.... it is where the opening song / bombing in the first scene of White Christmas is set in Tuscany. That's where Bing Crosby is rescued by Danny Kaye from the falling building.

Now I know where you are talking about. Love that movie.

That is a great trip. I just saw the Pompeii exhibit at the Reagan library in March. Very interesting.

I don't see anywhere it mentions that this watch runs Google Wear OS. Was that supposed to be a requirement?

Just because it's compatible with an Android device doesn't mean it runs Google's Wear OS. Fitbit doesn't run Wear OS, yet it connects to Android phones. Two separate things.

Ah, it does not, that's true.
