literally have only watched 1 of the series on this list. Anime is banned at my house
This is absolutely critical at my house. My daughter is half Japanese after all.
If she doens't know this stuff, she is ostracized when she is in school in Japan.
I'm glad I don't go to school in Japan. I've had friends try to convince me that this or that anime is life changing and awesome, but I just can't get into any of it.
i don't feel any TV is lifechanging and awesome. Just entertaining.
Have you read a life-changing book? If so, what was it?
A Wrinkle in Time
Reading that to my kids right now, but I never loved it that much. Not even the best one in the cycle, I don't think.

Also, Chronicles of Narnia.
By far my favourite in that series is "A Horse and His Boy".
Second would be "The Silver Chair."
As a child, "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" was my top pick, it had the most adventure, but as I got older, it faded to being one of the lesser titles along with "The Final Battle."
