Full House with the kids on Hulu. Watched some Star Trek: Enterprise earlier. On the fourth season now and Jared is right, the writing gets bad.
It was already canceled by this point - clearly the writers didn't care anymore.
That makes sense, it really feels that way.
See, I felt it was dead by Season 3 and stopped watching.
yeah I hated the Xidi war... I had high hopes for season 4, but when they announced the final season before season 4 started, I knew it would blow.
Yeah, the Xidi war was SO dumb.
I think they thought that a Dominion-like war would increase viewership, like it did for DS9. ehhh wrong.
That it was a clear repeat, done badly, made it so much worse.

I'm a few episodes into The Orville. It's really enjoyable so far. Seth MacFarlane may actually be the weakest actor in the show. The humor is decent and not over the top (like Family Guy or American Dad) and it feels much more like a Star Trek show then some of the recent ones.

It gets better, too. A LOT better in Season two. It's like they realized that the jokes would wear thin and that they had an opportunity to blow Star Trek out of the water in serious sci fi and went for it.

While I'm not completely in sync with Scott here - I agree, season two is much better. I'm glad to see much of the crap/toilet humor gone.

Yeah, that stuff was funny for fifteen minutes, then got old. But they seemed to realize it pretty quickly. They still get little jokes in here and there, but the main plots and stories really go deep which is nice. And they seem to tackle head on a lot of what Star Trek got wrong or was afraid to cover.

I still haven't watched Avengers: Infinity War on Netflix because I'm waiting for Avengers: Endgame. I think Kevin Feige said that they are separate movies but to me its one of those to be continued type movies, which I hate with a passion.
