Noticed a different update message from Java today. Looks to me like another company that doesn't understand that the product is already open source, and freely available via other means than the one they offer.

Every time I would download it would say that be it Windows or Linux. Now let's see what route does Unifi Goes

Very different. Like if Windows 10 were free, but XP stopped being free once 10 was mature.

That makes sense from how old the version was where I got that popup.

I know but Unifi is still only supports Java 8
