Nothing like getting to the office on Monday morning and finding out that the server room a/c went tits up over the weekend...

Also why don't you have a WatchDog (or even a raspberry pi) to monitor the temp and send your email alerts? The watchdog units work really well and are damn cheap.

That has been on my list of things to get for a while.

      http://www.itwatchdogs.com/temperature-humidity-climate-monitor-watchdog-15-p71

$203 list price, I'm sure Amazon or whoever can get it for even less. I think @xByteSean sells it for less.

wow... wonder if something like the rPiZ would work just as good as the ITWatchdog - .. Hmm

I just can't see it. A rpi will just never be as reliable as purpose made equipment. And cost wise, even if you're using someone else's code, the amount of time to configure things will be 10x longer than a Watchguard. I highly recommend setting up a rpi for environmental monitoring as a learning experience, but it's not a thing a company should be paying for.

I suppose I can see and understand that. But it also seems like such a shame.

As someone who's into the whole Maker movement, I do tend to feel the same way. Business decisions and feelings are very rarely a good thing to combine.

Trying to remain busy to keep my self preoccupied. Not many calls coming in, and everything else that needs to be done around the office is basically done..

I had one at my last job. It was great. I used it mostly to stand though. Sitting was not as great since the monitor sits up 6" or so higher. If you like it up that high, then it is a bonus.

@wrx7m Easy to setup the desk, itself. My boss ordered me the ProPlus 36 with the dual monitor arms. I originally asked for just the pro because I was concerned about my laptop and dock both fitting on the ledge, but it seems to be working out so far. Took some time setting up the arms, especially since I took off the secondary piece of the arms. Didn't want monitors directly in my face and my desk hits against the wall, so I couldn't push them back.

I don't have any before and after shots because they also painted the room during the weekend, but here is the after shots of both raised and lowered.

                  Raised:

Wow, Monday... I thought you were balls deep already with the server room a/c stuff, but then I get home to find 2 packages and all my mail sitting in the driveway, in a puddle, getting rained on.

I didn't have that exact model, but mine was solid. If you tried you could move it, but casual movements wouldn't set it jiggling.
